Ashley Alston

Ashley Alston serves as a restorative community implementation specialist for HighFive’s Restorative Community Schools in the Appoquinimink School District at Silver Lake Elementary School. Ashley has over 10 years’ experience in working with youth in various roles. As a dedicated social worker and passionate All-Star cheerleading coach, she is deeply committed to empowering youth to thrive academically, emotionally, athletically, and personally. In her most recent position, she served as the McKinney-Vento liaison for a local school district, ensuring that homeless children and youth are fully integrated into the school setting and provided with appropriate educational support. Ashley’s experience also includes one-on-one and group counseling for youth ages 3-18, successfully advocating for youth by coordinating with community agencies, assisting with applications for higher education and employment, and developing comprehensive case plans.In her role as a cheerleading coach, Ashley draw’s on her social work expertise to approach challenges with empathy and respect. By building personal relationships with athletes, she cultivates a team dynamic that encourages them to push their limits and excel. Her coaching journey has been marked by multiple local, regional, and national titles, reflecting my commitment to excellence and teamwork.
